The
majority of my digital images are extreme closeups of
ordinary objects made large.
All
of my work interacts with the user in some way. In the case
of my digital imagery, each object is digitally manipulated
in such a way that the image appears sharper when viewed
from a distance, or as when viewed in the thumbnail image
below. However, when the viewer is close (as in the real-size
detail below) the image reduces into a pattern of abstract
shapes.
Sharpness
at the distance, abstraction up close. It is this non-intuitive
relationship that interests me most in these images.
